Catching up.......
Over the last few months, the H3Oh's have been busy collecting donations for the community and networking together that there hasn't been a spare minute to post on the blog. Here is a recap of what's been going on:
August - donation of make up and lighted mirrors to the American Cancer Society Look Good...Feel Better For women peer group. This program is a community-based, free, national service. It teaches female cancer patients beauty tips to look better and feel good about how they look during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
July - donation of diapers to the Rainbow Room. The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource center available to CPS caseworkers to help them meet the critical needs of abused and neglected children.
June - donation for the Family Abuse Center. Family Abuse Center (FAC) exists to eliminate domestic violence in Central Texas by sheltering victims of domestic violence and by preventing abuse from occurring through intervention and education. FAC provides shelter and services to victims of domestic violence in the following counties: Bosque, Hill, Falls,Limestone, McLennan, Freestone, Navarro
All services are provided to our clients free of charge.
We donated a New Beginnings Kit...
Helping the homeless: Matthew 25:35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in ... Donations for our new friend, Jerry, who we have mentored and supported. Now Jerry sleeps with a roof over his head! We moved in furniture donated by John Deiterman. Kudos to Deborah Warner and Sara Coats for spurring this volunteer effort.
